Considering the current void in the artificial breeding of southern sea urchin species, based on the theoretical knowledge of aquaculture at the undergraduate level and from a practical perspective, this study employs a comparative experimental method to preliminarily establish the artificial cultivation technology of Salmacis sphaeroides. Using S. sphaeroides as the material, this experiment investigates the influence of salinity on the growth and development of S. sphaeroides larvae through the induction of sea urchins and the cultivation of larvae in seawater with gradient salinity. Among the six salinity gradients (20, 24, 28, 32, 36, and 40), the best growth and development of S. sphaeroides occurred within the salinity range of 28 to 32.
