Narcissus

Narcissus is a character from Greek mythology who is known for his extreme beauty and self-love. According to the myth, Narcissus was a young man who was so obsessed with his own reflection that he fell in love with it. He would spend hours staring at himself in a pool of water, unable to tear himself away from his reflection.

One day, the goddess Nemesis became angry with Narcissus for his arrogance and caused him to fall deeply in love with his own reflection. He was unable to leave the pool and eventually died there, consumed by his own love for himself.

The story of Narcissus has become a symbol for extreme self-love and vanity, and the term "narcissism" is often used to describe someone who is excessively obsessed with themselves.
