The Curtain Theatre: Unveiling Shakespeare's First Stage

Shakespeare's plays were performed at several playhouses in London, though the rebuilt Globe is certainly the one most people connect with him. But the remains of one least-documented theatre, the Curtain, are being examined again now, following the celebrations marking 500 years since Shakespeare's death in April this year. The Curtain, being less documented, is of great importance, particularly as it was the first theatre to stage 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Henry V'.
