Bengali story i said
Once upon a time, there was a small village in Bengal. In that village, there was a poor farmer named Gopal. He owned a small piece of land where he grew rice and vegetables. Despite working hard day and night, he barely managed to earn enough to feed his family.
One day, Gopal's youngest son fell ill. Gopal had no money to take him to the doctor, and he watched helplessly as his son's condition worsened. One night, he decided to go to the forest to collect firewood to sell in the market. As he was gathering firewood, he saw a shining object in the distance. Curious, he went closer and found a golden pot lying on the ground.
Gopal could not believe his luck. He picked up the pot and examined it. It was heavy and looked expensive. He decided to take it home and sell it in the market. As he was on his way back, he heard a voice calling out to him.
"Gopal, don't sell the pot. It is a magical pot that will give you anything you ask for. But remember, you can only use it once a day."
Gopal was surprised to hear the voice but decided to listen to it. He took the pot home and hid it in his room. The next day, he woke up early and decided to test the pot. He wished for a bag of rice, and to his amazement, the pot filled up with rice. Gopal was overjoyed and thanked his lucky stars.
From that day onwards, Gopal used the pot wisely. He only used it once a day and wished for things that he needed. His son's health improved, and he was able to buy new clothes and food for his family. The villagers were amazed at Gopal's newfound wealth and wondered how he had become so rich suddenly.
One day, Gopal's neighbor, who was envious of his wealth, decided to steal the pot. He sneaked into Gopal's room and took the pot. That night, he wished for a bag of gold and to his shock, the pot filled up with snakes. The neighbor ran out of the room screaming, and the pot fell to the ground and broke into pieces.
Gopal was heartbroken when he saw the broken pot. He knew that he had been careless and had not protected the pot properly. He learned a valuable lesson that day and decided never to be greedy again.
From that day onwards, Gopal lived a simple life, but he was happy. He had learned that true wealth lies in contentment and not in material possessions. The villagers respected him for his wisdom, and he became known as the wise farmer of the village.
