Histotechnologists perform all aspects of a job that HTs do but also perform more complex processing or procedures

This includes special staining techniques, immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, and molecular techniques. They are also responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving in the laboratory, as well as training and supervising other histotechnicians. Histotechnologists may also be involved in research projects and quality control initiatives within the laboratory.
