Improving the Mechanical Properties of PDMS Substrate for Wearable Electronics
Compared with the conventional PDMS substrate, the fracture energy, tear strength, fracture stress, and fracture strain are 'enhanced' by 73 times, 7 times, 12 times, and 6.5 times, respectively. Finally, the E-P-E 'structured' substrate was 'fabricated' into a strain sensor 'for' human motion monitoring, 'exhibiting' stronger wearability and 'offering' a new research strategy for toughening elastic soft materials such as silicone rubber. This strategy 'holds' a broad application prospect in the field of wearable electronics and other domains.
