We reported the posterior means and 95% posterior credible intervals derived from the BKMR model to assess the cumulative effect of a mixture of PAHs. Specifically, we estimated the expected change in telomere length associated with concurrent changes in all eight PAHs at their median level. We utilized hierarchical variable selection to group the PAHs and identify the most important ones within the mixture. We then presented the conditional-PIPs from BKMR. Additionally, we displayed the difference in telomere length level for a change in PAHs concentration between the 25th and 75th percentile for each PAH in the mixture while holding the other PAHs at either the 25th, 50th, or 75th percentile levels. We also displayed the PAHs-specific exposure-response curves and potential interactions among the PAHs by estimating the predicted telomere length level for each level of the PAHs of interest while holding all other PAHs exposure at the median, 25th, or 75th percentile. Finally, the covariates adjusted for in the BKMR were similar to those in the linear regression analysis.
