Under the theme of "Research and Development of Drugs for the Prevention and Treatment of Important Parasitic Diseases in Fish," Tu Xiao summarized the harms of parasitic diseases in fish and the problems that currently exist in drug prevention and treatment. She focused on reporting a series of research works on the development of new drugs for monogenean and Gyrodactylus infections.

The "Youth Talent Support Program" is a project launched by the China Association for Science and Technology in 2015 to enhance the innovation and service capabilities of young science and technology talents under the age of 32 with strong innovation ability and development potential. It helps them become important reserve forces for national science and technology leading talents and high-level innovative teams. Currently, the China Fisheries Association has undertaken four sessions of the Youth Talent Support Program, supporting 11 young talents.
