Glycosylation Modifications in Platelet Proteins: Potential Biomarkers for Liver Cancer

After normalizing the glycoproteomic data using quantitative proteomics results, it was observed that the majority of differentially expressed site-specific N-glycan expression trends remained unchanged. This suggests that alterations in platelet protein glycosylation modifications among liver cancer patients are not primarily influenced by differences in protein expression. Further examination of the normalized differentially expressed N-glycoproteins highlighted a significant enrichment of complement system and ECM system related proteins in liver cancer, including CO3. These glycosylated modified proteins hold promise as potential biomarkers.
