Exploring My Diverse Interests: From Literature and Film to Music and Metaphysics

I am an individual with diverse interests, finding joy in activities such as watching movies and reading books during my leisure time. The process of using my imagination to visualize characters and captivating scenes crafted by authors brings me immense satisfaction. Among the numerous books I've come across, my current favorite is 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' by the renowned Colombian writer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Presently, I am engrossed in another masterpiece of his, 'Love in the Time of Cholera.' Marquez's writings possess a subtle undertone of melancholy, elegantly interwoven within splendid and intricate characters. Surprisingly, this melancholy carries a peculiar ability to heal and instill within me the courage to let go of the past and embrace life.

When it comes to movies, 'Corpse Bride,' directed by my favorite filmmaker Tim Burton, holds a special place in my heart. Despite its misleading name, the film is a heartwarming stop-motion animation. There are certain parallels between Marquez and Burton, as both are renowned for their profound perspectives and the element of absurdity present in their works.

My fondness for music is also worth mentioning. I embarked on playing the piano at a tender age of four and began learning the flute at the age of ten. Admittedly, there was a time when I detested playing the piano due to the arduous practice it demanded. I vividly recall that on my eighth birthday, my fervent wish was to smash the piano into pieces. However, as I progressed through various levels and the pressure subsided, I was granted the freedom to play the songs I adored. Gradually, my love for the piano blossomed. It became a therapeutic outlet, providing solace and relaxation during challenging times.

Moreover, metaphysics captivates my curiosity. I find great pleasure in watching videos about tarot readings and recently acquired a set of tarot cards myself, hoping to delve deeper into their enchanting nature. Additionally, I am fascinated by the diverse applications of herbs in potion-making and the unique properties of different crystals. If I were to be born into a world of magic, I believe I would embrace the opportunity to become a witch with open arms.
