Predicting Land Use Changes and Ecosystem Service Impacts in the Yangtze River Economic Belt

The primary objective of this study is to predict the future land use and land cover change (LUCC) of the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) in 2030. Additionally, the study aims to analyze the impact of LUCC on the supply and demand relationship of ecosystem services (ES) at different scales, ultimately providing insights for the sustainable development of the YREB. The specific objectives of this study are as follows:

1. Forecast the future land use of the YREB in 2030 using a cellular automaton (CA)-based model. This model is based on historical land use patterns observed from 2010 to 2030.

2. Quantify various ecosystem services from 2010 to 2030 using the InVEST model. This analysis will identify changes in ES and their supply-demand relationship.

3. Evaluate the impact of LUCC on ecosystem services at different scales. These findings will provide valuable insights for spatial planning and management strategies at different scales.
