Phylogenetic Analysis of WOX Genes in Vaccinium corymbosum and Other Plant Species

The phylogenetic relationship of VcWOX genes with WOX genes from other plant species was investigated. Known WOX gene sequences from Arabidopsis (15), rice (13), grape (12), white poplar (18), sweet orange (11), and soybean (33) were downloaded from NCBI (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov), TAIR (www.arabidopsis.org), or RAP-DB (https://rapdb.dna.affrc.go.jp/) databases. The coding sequences (CDS) of 141 WOX genes were aligned using MEGA7 software to generate a maximum likelihood tree and clustered into three groups (I-III). The numbers represent bootstrap values calculated from 1000 replicates. WOX genes from the same species are represented by the same symbols: red triangle for Vaccinium corymbosum, purple square for Vitis vinifera, pink triangle for Populus tomentosa, green triangle for Glycine max, yellow triangle for Arabidopsis thaliana, blue circle for Oryza sativa, and blank triangle for Citrus sinensis.
