Genome-Wide Identification and Characterization of the Blueberry WOX (VcWOX) Gene Family: Insights into Adventitious Root Development and pH Stress Response

To date, a comprehensive analysis of the blueberry WOX (VcWOX) family has yet to be reported. In this study, we conducted a genome-wide identification and characterization of 39 VcWOX genes. We investigated their gene structures, motif structures, chromosomal locations, and phylogenetic relationships. Computational analysis was performed to examine the miRNA response elements and cis-acting elements. In addition, we retrieved data on the transcript accumulation of VcWOX genes during blueberry adventitious root development and in response to pH stress from measured transcriptional profiles and publicly available data. These findings will provide valuable insights for future investigations into the functional roles of the VcWOX family, particularly in adventitious root development and adaptation to pH stress.
