Homologous Recombination of pGEM-T Easy-H1-EGFP-H2 with KHV Genome in CCB Cells

Since the 500 bp H1 fragment in plasmid pGEM-T Easy-H1-EGFP-H2 is fully identical to the 500 bp ORF56 upstream region of the complete KHV genome, and the 500 bp H2 fragment is fully identical to the 500 bp ORF57 downstream region of the complete KHV genome, there is a possibility of homologous recombination occurring between plasmid pGEM-T Easy-H1-EGFP-H2 and SS09 in CCB cells. This recombination event would result in the replacement of the ORF50-57 region on the recombinant viral genome with the H1-EGPF-H2 sequence.
