Introduction
Water pollution has become a serious problem worldwide, with the development of industrialization and urbanization. In China, rapid urbanization and economic development have also exacerbated water pollution. This article takes Shanghai's port area as an example to explore the current situation and remediation measures of water pollution in this region. Through the analysis of monitoring data of water bodies in the port area, it is found that the area has serious water pollution problems, with major pollutants including COD, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus. To solve these problems, the port area government has taken a series of remediation measures, including strengthening monitoring, improving sewage discharge pipelines, promoting sewage treatment technology, and strengthening environmental protection publicity. The implementation of these measures has effectively improved the water environment quality in the area and made important contributions to the sustainable development of the city.
Current Status of Water Pollution in the Port Area
The port area is an important economic zone in Shanghai, with many enterprises and factories. With the rapid development of the economy, the area's water environment has been seriously polluted. According to the monitoring data, the main pollutants in the water environment of the port area are COD, ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus.
