Hills Like White Elephants续写150词悲伤
The train pulled away from the station, leaving the dusty, barren landscape behind. The couple sat in silence, each lost in their own thoughts. The man looked out the window, while the woman stared blankly at the floor.
Finally, the woman spoke up. "I don't think I can do it," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Do what?" the man asked, feigning ignorance.
"You know what," she replied, her voice trembling. "I can't go through with it."
The man let out a deep sigh. "You knew what we were getting into," he said coldly. "You can't back out now."
Tears welled up in the woman's eyes. "I thought...I thought it would be different," she said, her voice breaking. "I didn't know it would be so hard."
The man looked at her with a mixture of pity and disgust. "You're weak," he spat. "You can't handle the consequences of your own actions."
The woman buried her head in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. She knew he was right. She had made a mistake, and now she was paying the price. And there was nothing she could do to make it right.
