In this paper, acoustic signal detection technology was used to collect crack defect signals during the laser cladding process. The collected acoustic signals were then subjected to time-frequency analysis and wavelet thresholding denoising. By using a custom thresholding approach for each level of wavelet coefficients, the results showed that this method achieved better denoising results compared to other signal denoising methods, while preserving the crack information to a greater extent. This demonstrates the feasibility of the custom thresholding denoising method.
