Jay Chou's "Lanting Xu" Translation:

In the third year of the Yonghe era (AD 353), the revered Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty wrote the "Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Collection", which has been highly regarded as a masterpiece of calligraphy. In the preface, Wang described a gathering of literati at the Orchid Pavilion in Shanyin, where they indulged in wine and composed poetry. Inspired by their surroundings, Wang wrote a preface to a collection of their poems and calligraphy.

Today, I had the honor of visiting the Orchid Pavilion, and was struck by the beauty of the scenery. The clear water flows gently, and the lush mountains are verdant. The chrysanthemums bloom in the autumn breeze, and the fragrance of orchids fills the air. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and inspiration.

As I gazed upon the tranquil waters and the majestic mountains, I was reminded of the wise words of the ancients: "The mind is like a white sheet of paper, and the scenery is like ink. Only when the ink is poured onto the paper can the mind be expressed." Indeed, the beauty of nature can inspire us to create works of art that reflect the depth of our emotions and thoughts.

Therefore, with a humble heart and a grateful spirit, I have written this preface to express my admiration and respect for Wang Xizhi and the literati of the Orchid Pavilion. May their timeless legacy of poetry and calligraphy continue to inspire and enrich our lives.
