Innovative Design of an Electric Rocking Chair: Enhancing Relaxation and Comfort
This paper presents a mechanical innovation design of an electric rocking chair, addressing the limitations of traditional rocking chairs. Traditional rocking chairs, while beneficial for relaxation and stress relief, require external force to move. To address this limitation, this study introduces a design that incorporates a mechanical transmission mechanism powered by an electric motor. The design process leveraged CAD software such as UG, combining traditional mechanical design theory and experience. This resulted in a virtual model of the electric rocking chair with a robust structure and automatic rocking capability. The findings demonstrate that the electric rocking chair design is effective in eliminating fatigue and promoting relaxation, ultimately enhancing the quality of life.
