Truck Side-Beam Frame Finite Element Analysis using SolidWorks and ANSYS

This paper aims to study the side-beam frame of a truck. A three-dimensional model of the frame is constructed using SolidWorks. In the modeling process, rounded corners, small holes, unimportant areas, and minor structures are omitted. The remaining components of the frame are modeled at a 1:1 scale. The finalized three-dimensional model is subsequently imported into ANSYS Workbench to generate the finite element model of the frame, as shown in Figure 1.
