Self-Healing and Recyclable Polymer Network with Borate Ester Crosslinking

Due to the presence of borate ester in the network structure, the network exhibits excellent self-healing and recyclability. Self-healing experiments showed that artificially created scratches can almost completely disappear after 40 minutes at 90°C. Furthermore, tensile tests demonstrated that the mechanical properties of the network remain largely unaffected even after three cycles of reprocessing.
