This lack of perception and recognition of the world around us leads to a disregard for the real experiences happening nearby. While we spend our days scrolling through social media, we fail to pay attention to the people and events happening right beside us.\n\nObjective: The aim of this training program is to collect and accumulate our daily experiences, using photography as a method to activate our ability to perceive and appreciate life's details. The "Capturing the Nearby" project is a small social action driven by individuals, starting from each person's own perspective.\n\nDescription: The architectural spaces surrounding us are all human creations. These buildings, once filled with life, become deserted stages when devoid of human presence. This transformation evokes a sense of reality mixed with absurdity. Walking through streets that were once bustling but now lay abandoned, we witness the decay of places that were once a source of entertainment. These places, frozen in time, allow us to piece together memories and experiences. This project of photographing abandoned buildings not only elicits a sense of nostalgia but also reflects on the past and present.\n\nConclusion: Learning photography is a combination of theory and practice. Without this training, we might have never discovered the intriguing and peculiar places nearby. While exploring the dilapidated buildings and traversing through overgrown bushes, we uncovered a village frozen in time, devoid of its former glory. The photographs captured the essence of its decay and desolation.\n\nDuring the exploration, I realized the impact of the summer season, with willow fluff floating in the air, affecting both the camera and myself. The neglected environment between villages became uncontrollable, as nobody seemed to take care of it. However, it was precisely this flurry of willow fluff that added a mysterious and sacred atmosphere to the entire vicinity.\n\nThrough a day of outdoor shooting, I gained not only progress in completing the task but also a deeper understanding and familiarity with the surrounding environment. It is crucial to be aware of the environment we live in and understand how its changes symbolize societal transformations. Though I did not encounter a place that brought me joy during this training, it is uncertain whether such a place exists or if it is simply a destination I have yet to reach.
