Job Shop Scheduling Optimization: Reducing Cargo Aircraft Delays & Improving Efficiency

Designed a sequencing method based on job shop scheduling, utilising LEKIN to simulate a range of service methods using the aforementioned data, in order to identify the method with the shortest service total time, including 'first come first served', 'smallest critical ratio' and 'earliest due date'. The implementation of the optimal method resulted in an 8% reduction in cargo aircraft delays, as well as an improved utilisation efficiency of various airport support vehicles.
