CBM-Based ELISA: A Novel Strategy for Simple and Specific HA Quantification

A CBM-based ELISA for HA quantification was established by utilizing SrCBM70-GST as an antibody alternative. After a thorough examination, the method was deemed reliable, offering simple operation and high specificity for quantifying HA. The specificity of CBM-based ELISA methods, as demonstrated in this study, depends on the adopted CBM. Furthermore, the method proved effective in determining HA levels in real samples. Interestingly, it was discovered that CBM proteins can effectively substitute antibodies in ELISA. This study presents a novel and easily implementable strategy, namely CBM-based ELISA, for the simple and specific quantification of polysaccharides.
