Is Minesweeper a Binomial Distribution? Analyzing Probability in the Classic Game

Our team embarked on a fascinating research direction: determining if the classic game of Minesweeper adheres to a binomial distribution. While opinions differed within our group, I was particularly interested in how revealing a square affects the probability of other squares concealing mines.

It became clear that Minesweeper probabilities deviate from a simple binomial distribution. However, I recalled a similar example in our textbook. This inspired me to adjust mine counts and calculate probabilities across various game scenarios. Through this meticulous process, I was able to reach a compelling conclusion.
