Hypothesis: Increasing the amount of fertilizer given to plants will result in faster growth.

Observation: Plants that receive a higher amount of fertilizer appear to be growing faster than plants that receive a lower amount of fertilizer.

Experiment: Set up two groups of plants, one group with a higher amount of fertilizer and one group with a lower amount of fertilizer. Measure the height of each plant over a period of time to determine if the plants receiving more fertilizer indeed grow faster
