Under the request of the Maritime Bureau, our inspectors, along with the captain, chief engineer, and second engineer, visited the MSA office on September 7th. The MSA officers requested the crew to confirm the specific amount of discharge. The crew estimated that a total of 1 cubic meter of sewage was discharged, with 0.5 cubic meters of untreated sewage discharged in the Bohai Bay area and 0.5 cubic meters of treated sewage discharged at the berth. Subsequently, the MSA officers conducted an investigation and prepared a situation report, which the crew was requested to sign. The content of the situation report is as follows:

"My name is TEDDY JAMES C. FERNANDEZ, a 38-year-old male crew member with the crew certificate number C1289061. My contact address is PUROK ANUNANG, MARANDING, LALA, LANAO DEL NORTE 9211, and my contact number is 09177190195. I am serving as the captain of the ship 'TUJU ARROW'.

On this voyage, my ship, 'TUJU ARROW,' departed from Changshu Port and headed to Tianjin. It arrived at Tianjin Lingang L12 Terminal at around 0424 on September 6, 2023. The ship is owned by Gearbulk Shipowning Limited and managed by Gearbulk Norway AS.

My ship departed from Changshu Port around 1306 on September 3, 2023. Around 2218 on September 3, the direct overboard discharge valve for sewage on my ship was opened. At around 1430 on September 5, my ship entered the Bohai Sea area. At around 2340 on September 5, my ship switched to discharging treated sewage into the sea through the sewage treatment plant. During this period, my ship directly discharged approximately 0.5m3 of untreated sewage in the Bohai Sea area. At around 0424 on September 6, my ship berthed at Tianjin Lingang L12 Terminal. The overboard discharge valve for domestic sewage on my ship remained open until the MSA officers boarded the ship. Approximately 0.5m3 of treated sewage was discharged during the berthing.

The above situation is true and is hereby reported.

The crew members have confirmed the above situation to be true and have signed the report. After the investigation was completed, we sent the crew members back to the ship.
