CEUS confirmed the presence of an unenhanced floating thrombus at the distal end of the plaque, which was also confirmed by CTA and DSA. Additionally, CEUS revealed the existence of small ulcers and abundant neovascularization within the plaque that were not detectable on routine ultrasound.
