Coupling Coordination of Human Capital and AI in China: A Regional Analysis

The coupling coordination degree between human capital and artificial intelligence (AI) in China exhibits an increasing trend, suggesting a growing synergy between these two drivers of economic development. A significant growth momentum was observed in 2013 and 2015, followed by a period of downturn beginning in 2017. Regional analysis reveals a consistent upward trend in coordinated development across all regions. However, the eastern region displays a considerably higher degree of coordination compared to other regions. In 2011, the coordination level in the eastern region was approximately 1.03 times greater than in other regions, a disparity that remains significant as of 2019.
