Cargo Loading Risk Assessment: Preventing Damage in Cargo Hold No.1
For cargo hold No.1, steel plates will be loaded directly onto the tank top. Steel pipes will then be loaded on top of these plates, followed by equipment. Pump trucks will be loaded on top of the HRC, which will be loaded at Lanbei port. Based on our experience, this loading plan presents a risk of cargo damage. The weight of the equipment loaded above the steel pipes could potentially damage the pipes below. Similarly, the weight of the pump trucks could damage the coils stowed at the bottom tier. We recommend a thorough risk assessment and potentially adjusting the loading plan to mitigate these risks. This may involve redistributing cargo weight, using dunnage for protection, or exploring alternative loading sequences.
