Oil Spill Cleanup Cost Assessment - September 7th & 8th

Following our phone call, as you requested, we have completed an assessment of the cleanup costs for September 7th and 8th. Our evaluation used the 'Compensation Guidelines for Ship Oil Pollution Damage' as a primary reference and factored in market prices for relevant materials.

We met with representatives from the cleaning company on-site. They explained that the 'Zhonghaiyou 28' served as the emergency oil spill response vessel from September 7th to September 8th. Two additional workboats, 'Xinxing 002' and 'Xinxing 003,' were also present, with power ratings of 219KW, 105KW, and 105KW respectively. We reviewed vessel tracking data on Shipinfo and found frequent activity for both 'Zhonghaiyou 28' and 'Xinxing 002' near NEWZENBERG. However, no tracking data was available for 'Xinxing 003' prior to September 14th. The cleaning company also stated that 'Zhonghaiyou 28' remained on standby and under observation after the cleanup was completed.

Based on the claimant's submitted list of expenses and the additional information gathered, our assessment (notwithstanding the uncertainty regarding the actual occurrence of some costs) is as follows:

• September 7th cost: 142,398.77- September 8th cost: 101,333.00

The daily standby cost for the vessel is 4,982.25, and the daily cost for the oil boom is 3,560.
