c. The transformer shall be designed and manufactured in accordance with the latest edition of relevant standards such as IEC, BS, ANSI, NEMA, etc. and shall meet the following requirements:

• The transformer shall be suitable for continuous operation in tropical climate with ambient temperature up to 50°C and relative humidity up to 95%.
• The transformer shall be designed for outdoor installation and shall be suitable for withstanding wind speed up to 160 km/hr.
• The transformer tank and fittings shall be made of high quality mild steel and shall be hot-dip galvanized.
• The transformer shall be equipped with conservator tank, Buchholz relay, oil level gauge, oil temperature indicator, pressure relief device, drain valves, sampling valve, etc.
• The transformer shall be tested in accordance with relevant standards and shall be guaranteed for a period of 24 months from the date of commissioning.

d. The bidder shall submit the following documents along with the bid:

• Technical data sheet of the transformer.
• Test certificates for raw materials used in the transformer.
• Quality assurance plan for design, manufacturing, testing and supply of the transformer.
• Guarantee certificate for the transformer.
• Performance guarantee test procedure.
• List of similar transformer supplied to other utilities/customers in the last 5 years.
• Reference list of customers who can certify the bidder's technical competence and financial capability.

e. The successful bidder shall be responsible for design, manufacture, testing, supply, transportation, insurance, unloading, storage, installation, testing and commissioning of the transformer at Ghorasal thermal power station. The bidder shall also provide necessary training to BPDB personnel for maintenance and operation of the transformer
