Evaluating External Responsiveness Using ROC Curves and AUC
External responsiveness was evaluated by utilizing Receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves and the area under the curve (AUC) as a benchmark. An AUC of 0.5 implies that the instrument is unable to differentiate between patients who have experienced a change in their condition and those who have not, whereas a value of 1.0 indicates flawless discriminatory capability. A value equal to or greater than 0.7 is deemed as moderate.
