Vessel Repair Update: Yantai Anchorage - August 2023

The vessel departed Jingtang port as scheduled at 2000hrs on August 20, 2023, and arrived at Yantai anchorage on the morning of August 21. Our surveyor, along with Cargill's and TENCO's surveyors, as well as the repair team, attended on board in the afternoon of the same day. According to the crew, the shipowner did not provide specific repair instructions, only requesting that all protectors be repaired. However, the owner has arranged for a class surveyor to attend on board after the repairs are completed to verify them. The final extent of the repairs may be subject to change based on further instructions from the shipowner. Nevertheless, all relevant parties will monitor and document the repairs. As there was no signal at the anchorage, we will report the findings after the surveyor returns. It is expected that the repairs will be completed by August 24.
