INT. A BAR - NIGHT

Two men, JASON and THOMAS, sit at a table nursing their drinks. They both look troubled.

JASON: You know what the problem is? We're too divided.

THOMAS: Divided? What do you mean?

JASON: I mean, look at us. We come from different worlds. We have different experiences. We see the world in different ways.

THOMAS: And that's a bad thing?

JASON: It is when it leads to hate, and fear, and violence.

THOMAS: I see what you're saying. But what can we do about it?

JASON: We can start by trying to understand each other. We can listen to each other's stories. We can find common ground.

CUT TO:

INT. A HOMELESS SHELTER - DAY

Jason and Thomas volunteer at a homeless shelter. They're serving food to the homeless.

JASON: What's your story?

HOMELESS MAN: I lost my job, my wife left me, and I couldn't afford to pay rent. I ended up on the streets.

THOMAS: I'm sorry to hear that. What can we do to help?

HOMELESS MAN: Just treat me like a human being. That's all I ask.

CUT TO:

INT. A BLACK LIVES MATTER PROTEST - DAY

Jason and Thomas are at a Black Lives Matter protest. They're holding signs that read "End Racism" and "Justice for All".

JASON: We need to stand up for what's right. We need to fight for equality.

THOMAS: Agreed. We can't just sit back and let injustice happen.

CUT TO:

INT. A RESTAURANT - NIGHT

Jason and Thomas are having dinner together.

JASON: You know, I used to be scared of people like you.

THOMAS: What do you mean?

JASON: People who are different from me. People who come from a different background.

THOMAS: And now?

JASON: Now I realize that we're not so different after all. We all want the same things. We want to be happy. We want to be loved. We want to be respected.

THOMAS: Exactly. We're all human. We should treat each other with kindness and empathy.
