Offering financial support to students, particularly those from low-income families, would help bridge the gap between the rich and the poor and ensure equal opportunities for all. When students from different socioeconomic backgrounds study together, they feel respected and valued, leading to increased self-confidence and academic achievement.

Nonetheless, some argue that covering college fees with taxpayers' money can burden the public. However, the contribution of taxes towards college tuition is relatively small compared to the potential income generated by individuals with higher education.
