Materials and Methods for Electrocatalyst Preparation and H-Type Electrolysis Cell Construction
This study employed a range of materials sourced from various companies to prepare the required electrocatalyst and construct the H-type electrolysis cell. The electrocatalyst preparation involved using ammonium tetrathiomolybdate (≥99.95%) supplied by Shanghai Macklin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. and silver nitrate (AR) provided by Guangdong Wengjiang Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. The washing process of the electrocatalyst utilized ethanolamine (AR) purchased from Tianjin Chemiou Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd. For loading the electrocatalyst, anhydrous ethanol (AR) from Tianjin Damao Chemical Reagent Factory was used in conjunction with deionized water (partially) to dissolve the catalyst. The catalyst immobilization process involved employing Nafion solution (5 wt.%, AR) provided by DuPont and carbon nanotubes (≥95%) from Zhengzhou Alpha Chemical Co., Ltd. The construction of the H-type electrolysis cell utilized sulfuric acid (AR) from Tianjin Damao Chemical Reagent Factory, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([Bmim]BF4) (≥98%) and tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBABF4) (≥98%) supplied by Shanghai Macklin Biochemical Technology Co., Ltd. The gases employed in the experiment were carbon dioxide (CO2) and helium gas (He) (both ≥99.99%) purchased from Baoding Jinglian Gas Plant.
