Double Track AT Power Supply Method: Reducing Traction Network Interference
The AT power supply method with double parallel tracks establishes a full connection between the contact line (T), steel rail (R), and positive feeder line (F) of the up and down traction network by utilizing a horizontal line (CPW) at the substation outlet and at each autotransformer. This ensures that the train current is distributed evenly on both the up and down traction network, and the locomotive current is supplied by two adjacent ATs working together. By limiting the current of the contact line from the substation outlet to only 25% of that in the direct power supply method, this approach reduces the interference of the traction network on the communication line.
