Exploring Children's Mental Health: Data Collection and Analysis in Shenzhen, China

The abstract of a research study focusing on children's mental health was presented as an e-poster at the prestigious ICN 2023 Congress, held from July 1st to July 5th. This research was conducted at the Children's Psychiatric Mental Health Department of the Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital of Longhua, Shenzhen, China.

By the end of August, the data collection phase of this project was successfully concluded. This phase involved collaboration with the Health Department of Shenzhen Longhua Maternal and Child Health Hospital and utilized both quantitative and qualitative methods. A total of 181 questionnaires were collected, providing a substantial quantitative dataset. Additionally, in-depth interviews were conducted with 29 participants, enriching the study with valuable qualitative insights.

The following two months were dedicated to rigorous data analysis. The questionnaire data was meticulously analyzed, and the results were visually represented through comprehensive tables and graphs. Furthermore, the interview recordings were transcribed verbatim, and the transcripts were thoroughly analyzed and systematically organized to identify initial themes and sub-themes, paving the way for a nuanced understanding of the data.
